Pressed Flowers Motif Class
Try out the Pressed Flowers motif (created by local designer Amy Christoffers) by knitting the Pressed Flowers Kerchief. The Pressed Flowers are created with mosaic colorwork, making this a good first colorwork pattern for those ready to dip their toe in.
This class is a lead-in to the Pressed Flowers Knitalong starting January 19. (You're not required to take this class to participate in the KAL!)
Date: Sunday, January 12
Time: 11am - 12:30pm
While the pattern is written for DK weight, it can be done in any weight yarn with appropriate needles. This is a great stash buster - each color in this design uses less than a 50g ball. Please see below for suggested needle sizes for alternate yarn weights.
You're welcome to bring your own yarn and needles, or choose one skein of each colorway of the following:
- Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt
- Kelbourne Woolens Scout (works great as a main color with a Spincycle Yarns Dream State contrast color!)
Suggested needle sizes:
- Fingering weight: US 4
- Sport weight: US 5
- DK weight: US 6
- Worsted weight: US 7
To be successful in this class, students must be able to cast on, knit, purl, and increase/decrease. Prior colorwork experience is not required.
